Turnitin faces new questions about efficacy of plagiarism detection software | InsideHigherEd

This is always an interesting conversation in higher-ed and increasingly in K-12. Rather than focus on punitive consequences for improper use and citation of published works accessed via the web; where is the focus on teaching digital citizenship and literacies? This would allow us to replace Turnitin with Zotero and to teach our students how to properly cite their sources in scholarly research and writing. Address the cause, and not the symptom.
